Facility
Schetky NW Sales has the largest service center in the Northwest
with 12 bus stalls as well as the area's largest parts inventory.
Our service, parts, and sales staff will help you select the right vehicle and maintain it to ensure the best value over the life of your equipment. After all, our sales team has 150 years of combined sales experience and our parts department has 75 years' sales experience. That's value and service you can trust.

History Timeline
For more than 70 years, Schetky has been a prominent name in the
busing industry. We've built, sold, and serviced buses for hundreds
of customers in the Northwest and Alaska for decades. That same
tradition of long-standing customer service defines our success
now and into the future.

Jack
Schetky assembled the first school bus west of the Mississippi
River. |

1942
|
The
company opened for business under the name of Roots and Schetky.
Our first sale was a flatbed truck to Mr. Fred Meyer, founder
of the popular store chain at Meyer's original location. |

World War II
|
Jack
built 65 buses with trailers to transport shipyard workers.

1945
|
Jack
helped write the original Washington State school bus code. |

1950
|
Jack
Schetky and son John purchased the Roots portion of the company
and changed the name to Schetky Equipment. |

1950
|
John
Schetky helped write the original Oregon State school bus code
and what may have been one of the shortest bills passed in Oregon.
It read: "School districts shall have the authority to
lease school buses." |

|
Schetky
was the original approved bus sales company for the new State
of Alaska. Jack Schetky helped write the official Alaska State
school bus codes. |

1975

John
Schetky and son Randy changed the name to Schetky NW Sales. |
